Summary of the year

The year is ending, and it’s time to take stock and talk about plans.

First, thank you for your trust! We continue to maintain the high quality of our services and are working to increase the reliability and security.

We are always happy to offer you:

What will change in the new year?

Starting March 1, prices for hosting services will rise slightly. Simple and Basic packages will rise in price by 0.50€, Pro package by 1.25€. The price of the Developer package will rise by 5€. In addition, the payment system commission will be added to the invoice amount.

Our prices have remained unchanged since 2010, which cannot be said about the cost of electricity and other services. It was a difficult decision. However, despite the increase, our prices are still lower than the prices of our competitors. New prices are already valid from September 1 for new customers. Starting from March 1 the new prices will apply for all customers.

Outdated versions of PHP

We remind you that the time for us to abandon the outdated versions of PHP is drawing nearer. We hope you have not forgotten and made sure that all your web sites support PHP 7.2 and higher. Changes

Until the end of this year, we will expand the resources of existing servers. From January we will get a higher speed on all available servers.

We expect to launch a new shared hosting by the beginning of the Q2, which will meet modern requirements and give you new opportunities.

We wish you a good, productive New Year!

Outdated versions of PHP

For security reasons, we will stop supporting outdated versions of PHP software (older than PHP 7.2) on our servers.

This change may affect your site on our server. If you currently have PHP version up to 7.2, upgrading your PHP version may result in your website not working.
As of this year, three PHP versions have been supported by developers for security updates:
•    7.1 (until 1.12.2019)
•    7.2 (until 30.11.2020)
•    7.3 (until 6.12.2021)

Our recommendation:
1.    If you have a website developer, we recommend that you investigate as soon as possible whether your website code needs updating or that the developer can immediately configure the newer version of PHP for the domain.
2.    You can also try to safely test whether the migration to PHP 7.2 or 7.3 is causing a malfunction in the website. To do this, you need to change the PHP version from the server panel and then check your site. If there are errors on the page, you can change the version back and then contact the web developer for assistance.

You can change the PHP version in the server panel yourself by following the instructions below:
1.    PHP -> select the required version -> Activate
2.    WWW Domains -> open WWW domain -> PHP Mode -> CGI

You can find a guide with the pictures here:

We will end support for expired PHP versions 5.2, 5.4, 5.5, 5.6, 7.0 and 7.1 from 01.01.2020. On all websites that are not set to work at least on PHP 7.2 on that date, we will automatically change the version of the latest version of PHP on our servers after the deadline. This may result in your website not functioning.

Different Name, Same Great Solutions: Comodo is now Sectigo

Comodo CA has re-branded and is now officially Sectigo. We know you have questions, so this post is designed to give you the answers you need and outline what this change means to you as a customer.

Why the change?

Francisco Partners acquired the Comodo Group’s certificate business from back in the fall of 2017. This entity, branded Comodo CA, continued to operate in the same markets, attend the same trade shows and help the same buyers as Comodo Group. The re-brand decision was made to avoid confusion as well as help them deliver on their mission to help organizations of all sizes confidently secure and maximize the digital frontier.

What exactly is changing?

While at first glance this might look like a simple name and logo change, it goes way beyond that. Here’s a quick summary of everything that’s new:

New Company Name

Comodo CA is now officially Sectigo to clearly distinguish the new company from predecessors and prevent confusion.

New Logos

The company logo has been updated. Though November 2019, the new logo should be shown with the “Formerly Comodo CA” tagline.

New Brand

The brand has been updated to represent a more complete web security. New product line logos have also been created for EnterpriseSSL, InstantSSL and PositiveSSL.

New Product Names

All products are being renamed to align with the new brand. For example, Comodo EV SSL is now Sectigo SSL EV, and Comodo SSL Wildcard is now Sectigo SSL Wildcard.

We’re here to help you find the right level of validation based on your goals.

Core Solutions offers 76 different types of certificates from major certificate authorities: RapidSSL, GeoTrust, Thawte, Sectigo (formerly Comodo), Certum, Symantec.

You can buy a Certificate not only to protect any server or hosting that is provided by us, but for any other services/servers that you use from different providers. You can also order SSL installation service from us to get your Certificate installed correctly.
